The gunman who shot dead a Manhattan bodega customer right in front of the victim’s 10-year-old daughter has been busted, police said Thursday.
Joseph Morros, 31, was arrested Monday after getting indicted for last week’s murder of Tykeem Berry, 30, at the 144 Deli-Grocery on Nagle Ave. in Inwood.
Berry, who had just picked his child up from school, “was upset because our perpetrator was staring at him,” Chief of Detectives James Essig said of the shooting on the afternoon of Nov. 15.

During the argument, the suspect stepped outside and then charged back in to open fire — all of it caught on video — Essig said.
A wounded Berry struggled with the assailant before collapsing to the pavement in front of the bodega.
Berry’s daughter, seen moments earlier on the video, was not captured in the footage when the gunman fired.

“This man shot my son right in front of his 10-year-old daughter,” Berry’s father, Daryl Frazier, 53, told the Daily News last week. “My son was a good man. It’s unbelievable. How are we supposed to deal with this?”
A nearby vendor recounted the disturbing series of events.
“The two young guys were arguing inside the grocery. The guy with the pistol said, ‘Come out. Come outside. Step outside.’ But he wouldn’t,” said Nelson Trinidad, 28, who sells fruit and vegetables from a van on Nagle Ave. “So he went back in and they struggled. He shot him right in the chest. One time.”
Berry was rushed to Harlem Hospital, where he died about a half hour later, cops said.

Along with the 10-year-old daughter, Berry leaves behind an 8-year-old son, according to his family.
“My brother was a loving and caring man,” said Berry’s sister, Karen Mebane, 43. “He had a shady past, but he grew up to be a good man, a good father and was leading a good life.”
Morros has 10 prior arrests, two of them for weapons possession, said Essig.
